UFC on FOX 4 recap and countdown to UFC 150

There was no question that UFC fans got their money’s worth during Saturday night’s  UFC on FOX  4 (ok, it was free) but nonetheless, there was some exciting moments. Looking back, it was a pretty damn good card and it did pretty good on FOX (2.36M viewers) considering being up against that other little event going on right now in London.

West Coast Authentic had all eyes on Ryan Bader, one of our exclusive memorabilia fighters, as he entered the octagon with opponent Lyoto Machida. Bader, coming off a victory versus Rampage Jackson, was carrying positive momentum leading up to this fight however it was not enough and he was soon reminded of the lethal counter-striking of Machida.  Bader will learn from this and will come back stronger than ever.

The main event featuring Mauricio Rua and Brandon Vera was an epic battle resulting in a Rua win via TKO at 4:09 of Round 4. The other events were no slouches either, notably Joe Lauzon versus Jamie Varner.  Lauzon took both the Submission of the Night and the Fight of the Night, earning himself $100,000 in the process (double cha-ching!).

The Knockout of the Night award went to Mike Swick as he defeated DaMarques Johnson, by,  yes, you guessed it,  knockout. An extra $50k for Swick, cha-ching!

With UFC on FOX  4 behind us we now we eagerly await UFC 150 this Saturday! Who doesn’t like a title fight? Well, I know for a fact that Frankie Edgar wants his belt back but the question is, will Benson Henderson part with it? Can’t wait to find out! Also on the card Donald Cerrone vs Melvin Guillard, Jake Shields vs Ed Herman, Yushin Okami vs Buddy Roberts and Justin Lawrence vs Max Holloway.
