On July 27 West Coast Authentic had the privilege of attending the induction of five new members to the British Columbia Hockey Hall of Fame.
The gala event was held at Penticton’s South Okanagan Events Centre where earlier this year the Penticton Vees won an incredible 42 straight games and also claimed the national Royal Bank Cup.
Honored at the event, retired NHL superstar Scott Niedermayer , a two time Team Canada gold medalist at Salt Lake City in 2002 and Vancouver in 2010, four time Stanley Cup winner while with the New Jersey Devils and Anaheim Ducks,
2004 Norris trophy winner and 2007 Conn Smythe trophy winner, was among the five inducted to the BC Hockey Hall of Fame Friday night.
Other inductees included captain of 2006 Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes, Rod Brind’Amour, 1964 Canadian Olympic assistant coach Robert Hindmarch, 1991 BCHHF founder Scott Carter, and award-winning NHL sportscaster Jim Hughson.
During the event we were fortunate to meet up with the inductees for a chat and some photos.
West Coast Authentic supplied the autographed memorabilia for the events silent auction which was a huge success.
