WCA Jays Bats Come Alive In Win Over D’Backs

The West Coast Authentic Jays amassed 15 hits in an 11- 0 win over the Vernon Diamondbacks in Okanagan Major Baseball League play on Wednesday night.
Shortstop and assistant coach Jared Johnson led the way going 4 for 5 with 2 rbi’s, and by Austin Bartleson who was 3 for 5 and scored 3 runs. 3rd Baseman Jordan Varga was 2 for 4 with a walk, 2 runs scored and 2 rbi’s.
Right fielder Dom D’souza was 2 for 2, 2 walks, and an rbi, and Dallas Monk also has 2 rbi’s.
The Jays used 1 pitcher per inning over 7 innings giving up no runs, 3 hits, and striking out 10.
The Jays now host the Langley Blaze, Trail Orioles and Kamloops Sun Devils in a weekend ice-breaker tournament with the first game starting at 11 am Saturday featuring the rival Sun Devils vs. the WCA Jays. All games at Elks Stadium
